Salem Contracting - Tolko Industries Facility Expansion (Williams Lake)

When Salem Contracting approached Arctech Welding + Machining to provide fabrication assistance for their ongoing expansion of Tolko Industries Lakeview Facility in Williams Lake, British Columbia, we were only too happy to provide assistance.

Salem Contracting had provided Arctech Welding + Machining with a completed set of fabrication and erection drawings to fabricate the steelwork. We were responsible for the procurement of steel, grating, stair treads, structural bolts and paint for the project.

The scope of work that we completed was as follows;

  • Fabrication of elevated catwalks assemblies

  • Fabrication of hand rails

  • Fabrication of grating panels and stair treads

  • Fabrication of access stairs

  • Fabrication of structural column

  • Fabrication of structural beams

  • Fabrication of structural bracing

  • Sandblasting and painting of all fabricated steelwork

The total project weight was 15,000Lbs

After the fabrication and surface treatment was fully completed on this project we were also tasked with the shipping of steelwork down to the Williams Lake Project Site. All work was completed on time and on budget and allowed for project continuation and reduce down time onsite which can inflate onsite costs dramatically.
